COMPLETE Summer School on Microphysics and Dynamics of Clouds

COMPLETE Summer School on Microphysics and Dynamics of Clouds took place in Umweltforschungsstation Schneefernerhaus from the 9th to 14th of July 2018. COMPLETE ESRs and other participants had a chance to learn about the inner workings of the clouds and improve their research cooperation.

ESRs did some experiments with balloons that were in the air for around 10 minutes, from which they gathered their first data, using a circuit with the transmitter and accelerometer (15 grams of weight, Image 1). First thermal experiments were done in the laboratory at INRiM with the growth of the mean value of temperature and some fluctuation. Also at Zugspitze, another experiment was made to test the material of the green balloon and its thermal resistance and degradation (Image 2).
