Exploring the Mysteries of the Universe: Seminar on Galaxies and Black Holes at Politecnico di Torino

We were honored to attend an insightful seminar at Politecnico di Torino, led by Prof. Silvano Massaglia, coordinator of the Philofluid research group in the DISAT department. The session focused on normal and active galaxies, the Black Hole paradigm for active galaxies, and the fascinating world of Supermassive Black Holes (SMBH)—their locations, nature, detection methods, and formation.

Normal Galaxies

Active Galaxies

The dominant contribution to the total luminosity is not from stars but from an ACTIVE NUCLEUS.
